Unlike surface-level treatments, this technique works with your skin by depositing custom-blended pigments matched precisely to your skin tone to help visually restore areas affected by scarring or discoloration.
01 Stretch Mark Camouflage
Stretch marks are a natural part of life, but if yours affect your confidence, this treatment is for you. Using a custom blend of pigments carefully matched to your skin tone, we deposit color into the lightened areas to blend them seamlessly with the surrounding skin. Stretchmarks must be at least 12 months old.
02 Scar Camouflage
We custom blend pigments to either match your exact skin tone or neutralize unwanted discoloration such as, red or dark scars. We then carefully deposit into the scar tissue to reduce contrast and restore visual evenness. Ideal for: healed surgical scars including tummy tuck, C-section, breast lift, and injury scars. Scar must be at least 12 months old.
03 Discoloration Camouflage
This treatment restores the appearance of an even, unified skin tone. Custom pigments are layered into the affected area to visually blend it with healthy surrounding skin. Ideal for uneven skin tones that has not responded to traditional skincare or laser treatments. Certain skin conditions must be stable and medically cleared.

How It Works
Camouflage tattooing, also called paramedical tattooing or micropigmentation, is a specialized technique that uses custom-matched pigments to visually blend scars, stretch marks, and areas of discoloration into the surrounding skin.
Rather than treating just the surface the way creams or lasers do, camouflage tattooing works within the superficial layer of the dermis by depositing pigment at the appropriate depth to integrate naturally with your surrounding tissue. The result heals gradually, softening over multiple sessions until the treated area is visually indistinguishable from the skin around it.
Camouflage tattooing works best on fully healed skin typically at least 12 months post-surgery or injury. During your consultation, Cait will assess your skin, discuss your goals, and give you an honest picture of what results are realistic for your specific concern.

Before founding Vital Skin Studio, I spent years in corporate consulting, and somewhere along the way, I discovered paramedical tattooing and knew it was what I was meant to do.
For many, this is the last step in a journey they've been on for years: trying creams, treatments, and procedures that couldn't quite get them there. I specialize in scar camouflage, stretch mark camouflage, and skin discoloration correction using advanced paramedical tattooing techniques. My approach is gradual and layered by design. I make sure the pigment heals true to tone, integrates naturally with your skin, and maintains its integrity over time.
Vital Skin Studio is a private, one-on-one studio, just you and me. I believe that work this personal deserves a space that feels comfortable and completely judgment-free.
